Get message ideas from Uncooked!

Marvo wrote a review about Uncooked, an online store selling all sort of greeting cards. Their design are normal graphically, but extremely creative on the printed messages. If you don’t know what to write on greeting card, pay them a visit. You will find great ideas by browsing through their cards design.

For full review by Marvo, refer Uncooked

Here is the summary of his review:

Item: Uncooked
Price: $3.25 per card
Purchased at: Uncookedland.com
Rating: 4 out of 5
Pros: Twisted funny cards. Free envelope. Cards for almost all occasions. The day I get to burn my box of “Stuff to Burn Later.” Auto-reverse cassette player technology.
Cons: Expensive for tightwads, but cheap for those who truly care about the card’s recipient and think money is trivial in terms of showing how much they care. Having to pay for shipping. Lack of capitalization. Nauseating, overly-poetic, badly-written greeting cards.

How to write a Birthday Note to a Child

Kim Hummert post an article on How to write a Birthday Note to a Child. I summarized the main point here. For full article, refer Kim’s article.

1. Try not to write anything pretentious, such as “to my dearest …” or “to a sweet little angel pie …” Think about how the child will feel if it is read aloud in a group.

2. Keep it short and sweet. A child wants to know how special they are and what they mean to you. Use a phrase such as “you are very special to me and I want you to know how much I love you …” or perhaps “your Uncle Sally is very proud of you  …”

3. Choose a note card that is fun and colorful. It is even better if the card can get them participate in “installing” the card. Refer our transformable F1 Racecar card.

4. Try a redeemable coupon inside.
